Love yourself and let others do what you want

The title sounds a little manipulative but it isn't. It's actually a book about love. I'm not talking only about romantic love, but of all kinds. The purest and most powerful energy that exists on this earth.

I've read this book cover to cover in one day because I've perceived it like a heart to heart talk with an old good friend.

We all know that it is very difficult to love and accept ourselves. The author makes it seem very easy and he gives us plenty of exercises on how to succeed in our self loving journey.

All answers for our troubles are within us and if we are willing to peel off the ego and not identify ourselves with our emotions, we can see  the truth. The light, the power and the love that has been inside us since the day we were born.

The main principle this book focuses on is  self love and letting go of the horrible voice of the ego, that likes to punish you even for the smallest things, like spilling your coffee or forgetting your phone at home.

We all want love but we forget to offer it. We are too scared of getting hurt or being perceived as weak. In this book you will find answers  for all the aspects of your life: Friends, family, work, money and your significant other.

Life is the way you make it. All of these exercises are actually neuro-programming activities, making your mind setting itself to see only the beautiful things in life and building a strong inner self and character. Neuro-programming is about building new synapses(structures that allow a neuron to pass an electric/chemical signal to another cell) in our brain. It might sound difficult but it's not. Take the example of a child learning how to walk. Learning how to walk is his purpose in life at that time and he keeps falling (like us in random life moments). By exercise, he learns how to do that and the synapse for this specific movement is conceived ( the signal from one cell to the other has formed a strong path). Now, around 9-10 years old, the number of synapses gradually decreases until teenage years, when it gets to a similar number  to the one of an adult. This is the reason we find it so frustrating to learn new things.

So, build your positive synapses.

I've derailed a little from the essence of this book, so i'm going to leave you with few paragraphs:

"Until now, you did not love yourself because the ego has always preferred to auto-flagellate itself for the smallest things. If you don't believe me, study your mind. Check how many times per day you blame yourself for the smallest things. This kind of negative thoughts  go through your mind a thousand times per day. Your mind is playing with you and you listen to it!

In what way this kind of thoughts  can help you?  None and i think you can agree with me. Paradoxically,it thinks  it's doing you good. In reality, the only  "good" it brings are the back, stomach and muscle pains. More than that, this is how the financial and relationship troubles appear.

How about calling someone to beat you with a bat? Sounds silly, doesn't it?  Oh well, this is what you are doing to yourself when you blame or minimize yourself on different occasions.  It's like hitting yourself with a bat. No wonder that at the end of the day you feel exhausted. What can be more absurd than this?!"

" Ever felt any resistance while trying to approve yourself? If you did, you must know that resistance is only a feeling. Regularly, it accumulates in the chest of heart area. You don't need to analyze it too much, just let it go. If  it doesn't go that easy, give it time. Don't rush yourself. [...]

Think of someone of who's approval you desire. Someone that you wish to like you. Do you think that person approves itself? Do you think that the person likes itself? Is she\he happy? Few people  are really happy and approve themselves so there is a big chance that the person you are thinking about will not fit in this category. And still, you want her/ him to make you happy or approve you, considering that she/he is not capable of doing that with her\himself. It's like going to a bank that's in bankruptcy to get some cash or a loan. "

I hope this book caught your attention. For me it was an eye opening experience.

.

Love is the answer to everything.

      Have a great day!

       Cris ^_^
