Make-up bloopers
In the past, while I was studying other people’s make-up, I noticed that I was doing many mistakes in my daily routine. I don’t know if you do them, but it will help you check if you are doing it right.
Let’s see:
-
Not using face primer- I had no idea that this thing ever existed before I had my wedding. Believe me, even if you use a low end foundation, it will last longer on your skin. The one I use now is from Sephora, it’s really affordable and one bottle will last for about 2-3 months, if you wear make-up on regular basis, like I do. The first time I used it, I was amazed because my skin felt so smooth and I get the same reaction when I do the make-up of my friends that haven’t heard of it before.
-
Foundation- My first error was testing it on the wrong area. I heard that I must test it on the jaw line or on my wrist. Apparently that is wrong. The best way to test the foundation is on the dark circle areas or on the cheeks. The color must mix with your natural skin tone. If you pick a different shade, don’t choose a lighter one. It will make you look really weird. Second thing about the foundation that I see every day is applying it wrong. I see many girls that apply it just near the ear and they look like they have put on a mask. Remember, blend it out until you get to the ears and just to make sure it’s doesn’t look funny, put on your make-up in a spot that has natural light.
-
Concealer- I saw on various Make-up artists that they were using it before applying the foundation. I didn’t get that because it would be blended out away. Best one is the cream version because the stick will get into your skin creases and create the illusion of ugly wrinkles.
My main recommendation is to use a high end foundation. I have tried on Estee Lauder’s Double Wear and it is amazing. I fell in love with it an since I found it, no other foundation can reach to it’s height.
Be careful on how much product you use and how fast you apply it because it will stain your face if you do not apply it fast and with circular motions. On the neck area, I mix it with a little bit of face cream, to make it lighter.
Below, to make you feel better, i have added some celebrity make-up bloopers. Hey, we’re all human, right? :))
If you have any questions, let me know.
Have a great day!

That white powder is translucent powder, meant to set the make-up. Most probably, it wasn't added correctly and the photographer's flash was too powerful, hence this happened.
