Reuse old shirts
Oops, i did it again, i burned one of my favorite shirts! Arghhhh! I hated the thought of throwing it away so i had to reuse it somehow.
So i made some accessories for myself and for the bedroom.
Shabby chic collar
First, i removed the collar as carefully as i could and then i burned all the threads hanging out.
I searched for some beads i had around the house and sowed them by hand on the front side. It looks pretty cool on a strapless dress.
Add some fake flowers if you have a more bohemian style.

Potpourri holder for bedroom/bathroom
The front side of the shirt was very beautiful as the part of the fabric where the buttons were sown looked like beautiful rose petals.
I've cut out that specific area in a rectangle shape and sown it on the sides so that it would resemble a pouch.
I found a creamy colored cord and inserted it in the button holes. I need this cord to make sure the items inside stay there and i can hang the tiny pouch by this cord.
Your potpourri holder is ready! Just add some dried lavender or even a soap you like. It will give the room a fresh but not too strong scent.
You can put it in the wardrobe to keep your clothes gently perfumed.

And if you are interested in the make-up i am wearing, i used some lime green, golden liner on the area where the crease forms and added a little bit of purple over the crease.
I used a white pencil as a base for the lime green, to make it stand out and also on the waterline to make my eyes appear larger.

I am going to make a good use out of the remaining fabric. I was thinking to cut out the arms and fill them with the insides of some pillows i don't like anymore.
That way i can make two door stoppers or place them at the windows in the winter, so that the cold won't enter the room.
From the rest, i will cut out circles of various sizes and sow them together to make a hair piece or a brooch, like the big pink one added on the potpourri holder.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Happy Sunday!
